    Pros

    Stable, great pay, upward mobility if your hungry enough.

    Cons

    Unions get the salaries raised but poison the environment. Difficult to get leadership to adapt and look for new ways of doing things.

    Pros

    Able to serve and learn all aspects of military human resource functions within one organization. Can serve in many units and learn different skill sets without losing seniority. Ability to travel to many countries and learn about different cultures.

    Cons

    Many deployments to foreign soil that can put a strain on family life. With frequent assignment every two years, moving the family around can be very stressful.

    Stabilized deployment schedule to create more predictability for family.

    One had more than enough time off, and the option to work more if wanted to.

    Pretty secure job, work-life balance is good for people with families not so much for young people. Really good benefits such as health insurance, TSP, leave.

    Pros

    job stability - Other than a few govt shut downs it's a steady job.
    Decent pay for some locations
    Wide selection of health insurance plans to pick from

    Cons

    -Old pay structure from the 60's means STEM fields lack pay.
    -Really bad good old boy system. Count on some military officer retiring and taking the next spot on the career ladder above you.
    -red tape is thick.

    revamp the paytables, change travel and conference policies.
