I have been working at Wendy's

    Pros

I really enjoyed the people that I worked with and the atmosphere of the group I worked with.

    Cons

This was just a stepping stone for me, I worked there until I moved, I tried employment down in Madisonville, KY briefly but the atmosphere wasn't as nice as in the Princeton store.

    Pros

You meet a lot of people from all walks of life. In management postion you will learn how to manage on your feet and make hard decisions in a small frame of time.

    Cons

The demand to work various schedules and devote a huge portion of your personal time to the position is a pitfall.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most advancement to management is based on vacancies and not performance.

I worked at Wendy's part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Fast food jobs are relatively easy to learn. It does not take a whole lot to pick up the things required to perform the job. The managers were very good about taking time to properly train me. Also, Wendy's offered very flexible scheduling. I was part-time but it was very easy to pick up extra shifts.

    Cons

Working any fast food job is a lot of work for very little money. There were days when I worked upwards of 15 hours. Also, there were lots of high school aged kids who joined the crew just long enough to afford whatever shoes their parents wouldn't buy them. The high turnover rate meant that we were often short staffed and overworked.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better communication and coordination between managers would solve a lot of the problems.

I worked at Wendy's full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It's a good place to get a little experience and looks great on a resume.

    Cons

On paper, working at corporate looks great, but after working there for a couple years I quickly realized the company is only worried about the company, not the employees. Numerous layoffs within the past couple of years that left talented, hardworking, long-term employees without jobs. Human resources is ineffective towards negative feedback from employees regarding those in a senior/management position and pretty much anything that is said "in confidence" to hr employees is spread among other employees who are friends. Overall, working for Wendy's Corporate is overrated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better communication, respecting/acknowledging employees, more opportunities for growth within the company

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
