Pros – Great people. Smart people. Collaborative working environment. Innovative, products and far reaching pipe line.

Cons – Unfortunately was acquired by Pfizer

Advice to Senior Management – Should have fought harder to keep company from being acquired.

Current Employee – been working at Wyeth

Pros – A big Global company with lots of room to go up the tree. The salaries levels are good in the market. They are good at developing drugs that work and everyones main focus is on this area.

Cons – The Senior Management are very poor, with dictats that are sent but not implemented. Wyeth are the type of company to spend millions on consultants either in a strategic basis or operationally. Not that it matters as the strategic work will not be implemented and the operational work will never be managed properly. There is not enough real work in most departments and a lot of paid attendance. Management throughout the organisation are poor with lack of clearly defined and measured objectives.

Advice to Senior Management – Work out where you want to be, aim for it and don't change that path every 5 minutes. Give staff some empowerment and get better managers

Pros – There were strong processes in place, great opportunities for professional development and advancement, and a positive work culture.

Cons – Location in the suburbs was not ideal.

Pros – The management is very friendly. They make an effort to make sure that all employees are satisfied. They offer decent starting salary

Cons – There is a commission ceiling. Not enough customer service support. The products are not top of the line. Competitors will pay more.

Pros – Treat people with respect and listened to opionions of employees. This is a great company. It is a shame that Pfizer messed it up.

Pros – Great infrastructure (i.e. document control, IT, QA, training). Open door policy. Great communication. Great people to work with.

Cons – Only con is that Pfizer bought Wyeth.
