I worked at Xerox full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The best reasons to work for Xerox would be to gain experience and gain employment if its been hard in the past for you to gain employment.

    Cons

The greatest challenge is accepting the fact that there is hardly anyone that understands what it means to be professional. Also advancement may happen however being compensated for additional job duties doesn't occur at Xerox.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advise would be to execute proper interviews to gain employees your company professes to have, it will definitely assist you in becoming a company with great ethics and integrity. Also take into consideration your compensation rates for the job your employees are performing. You would be surprised what an extra dollars or two would do to increase work performance and moral throughout the company.

I have been working at Xerox full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The training program is great at Xerox for learning basic sales skills. Once you are trained, Xerox does have a number of great sales and marketing tools to help you be successful.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the company is working thru a re-organization right now and so employees are very concerned with the future. It appears that the company is making large changes that could possible results in lay-offs.

I have been working at Xerox full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Love the people I work with. Some of the smartest and most dedicated in the industry. Learned a ton due to exposure to many industry solution sectors.

    Cons

Company taking hits in the press due to struggling implementations of MMIS and HIX. Going through a re-org with many of the greenfield issues usually experienced in these environments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop screwing with variable compensation components and pay as promised.

I worked at Xerox as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Research center in Mississauga is very well equipped, lots of equipment and technicians to help with experiments. Opportunity to work on many different projects that can be very interesting

    Cons

Sometimes heavy focus on quantity of patents produced over quality. Tendency to patent hundreds of different versions of the same idea. Company seems obsessed with employee diversity to an excessive level.
