eBay Enterprise is a great company to work for. There is room for career development.

eBay Enterprise (including e-Dialog UK) - Room for (much) improvement, if it would ever improve.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsSome intelligent and nice work colleagues, fruit basket twice a week.

ConsSalary below the market-rate, politics, disorganisation, constant restructure (and doesn't work), timesheet to record your every movement, out-of-date technology, blame culture.

Advice to Senior ManagementFollow the process you preach. Deliver as you promise. Manage and support your teams. Pay attention to employees - these are the core people who make the clients happy. Provide real incentive. Recognise and sincerely congratulate good work.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

If you're competent, expect to be worked to the bone

Technical Manager (Former Employee) King of Prussia, PA (US)

ProsFulfilling work, if you ask for it before being hired you will be compensated well, good benefits, flexible hours

ConsReorganizations at least every 3 months. New supervisors every 3 months. Some of the senior management are only in place because they know people, but then stick around after their buddies move on to another company (we pay for the mistakes of those who came and left). The implementation process is S-L-O-W and the business analysts are simply scribes (no good documentation). The bad people can ride the wave and put in minimal work (barely 40 hours) while the good ones can work 80-90 hours, and if they try to work less (after setting the precedent) leadership then expresses their disappointment. If you put in more, you are punished for attempting to try to regain a work/life balance. Moving up (without changing departments) is extremely difficult. Layoffs are frequent.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop the madness of reorganizations and stop continually laying people off. Get appropriate staffing and stop losing great staff (by not overworking them).

    An eye opening experience!

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) Melbourne Beach, FL (US)

ProsGSI offers a good base pay as well as the opportunity to climb the management ladder. There are many opportunities to earn bonuses and being employed there grants many (useful) discounts.

ConsIt can be a little too fast-paced for the number of managers available which can create the possibility for issues such as misinformed customers. Also, the work scheduling systems was unconventional.

    A lot of time required.

ProsLeading edge technology, deep pockets, most people are great to work with it.

ConsManagement, in my case, immature. Lots and lots of hours

    Good pay, meh work

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood pay, benefits are great. Plenty of time off. Coworkers are usually pretty good, everyone has their days. Employees are good as well.

ConsClients needs put way before the employees. Asked to work long hours without extra compensation (management), micromanagd a lot. Same old song and dance every day. Poor LIFE/work balance, notice the word LIFE was put first.

    Lacking Leadership

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsPeer group is great to work with. Employees are fantastic. Flexibility is great.

ConsCommunication is horrible. Decision making is a joke. Leadership has no idea how to lead.

Advice to Senior ManagementUtilize your employees rather than deciding everything on your own.
