The Director of Direct Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing our marketing efforts through direct channels with a focus on catalog and direct mail.

Responsibilities: Lead the planning, development and implementation of our catalog and direct mail strategies Determine the initial catalog and direct mail formats based on best practices, marketing goals, and budgets Identify high potential customer segments and customer lists associated with the targeted groups Design tests that will yield statistically significant results to optimize marketing materials, content, and targeted lists Determine the expected ROI of campaigns to prioritize among different tactics and segments Track and analyze performance to increase effectiveness of future campaigns Manage the production calendar for catalog and direct mail pieces Work with the merchandising, copywriting, and design teams to build layouts and content that will maximize the performance in the channel Negotiate with printers and list brokers to optimize our costs while obtaining quality output Work closely with our online marketing and merchandising teams to develop multi-channel marketing strategies and to ensure consistency of brand and marketing messages
Required Skills and Experience: 8+ years of marketing experience in direct mail and/or catalog marketing for a retail company Experience in e-commerce and email marketing, a plus Knowledge of best practices in catalog and direct mail marketing Demonstrated history of leading strategic marketing campaigns combined with the ability to execute tasks and activities at a tactical level Strong attention to detail Ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative information to dig into results and determine optimization opportunities Ability to prioritize tasks and projects to maximize impact to the business Proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization Experience participating in cross-functional teams Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, people and initiatives Consumer-centric mindset Strong written and verbal communication skills Work well in fast paced, team-oriented environment Undergraduate degree from a top tier school; MBA preferred
