Engineering position developing and supporting refinery scheduling and blending applications. Primary Job Functions:.Provide specialist Scheduling Application consulting and technical support for existing facilities and new projects in the areas of Automation and Optimization in Refinery / Chemical Supply / Coordination..Provide in depth technical leadership and support to ExxonMobil facilities through troubleshooting, work process review and best practice implementation. .Develop and deliver technical training and best practice standards for Supply / Coordination groups within ExxonMobil; and both facilitate and participate in team and user sessions.Preferred Knowledge and Skills/Abilities:.Hold a Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering or an IT related discipline. .At least 5 years professional experience, ideally within an operating company, a major engineering contractor (petrochemical or other heavy industry experience strongly desired), or an optimization software development company. .Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Petrochemical processes, planning, and scheduling applications, as well as crude / products coordination & logistics..Be able to demonstrate a good level of knowledge of programming to include Visual Basic (6 and .NET), plus good working knowledge of SQL (MS SQL Server)..Demonstrated ability to proactively apply engineering and problem solving skills to develop cost effective plant application strategies and work process assessments. .Ability to engage the user community to deliver increased value using a measured risk approach..Ability to hold a regional primary contact role for the business, by quickly establishing visibility, respect, reliability and quality throughout the region and global user groups..Be willing and able to travel on short business trips and/or assignments (up to 35% of your time)EXXONMOBIL IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
