I met neither criteria during my time
I know that it's offered after a certain length of service, which if memory serves is 5 years and as I understand it, they're just complying with government mandated minimums. Although, certain managers seem to be able to massage this system to their own benefit.
Going by my coworkers opinion. He was satisfied
Never had to use , but people say it's just a government requirement one
Standard 6 months full pay; 3 months half pay and then 3 optional months unpaid for maternity
Most people on Maternity leave with the company, return early due to insufficient funds / length of cover.
Colleagues who've been on maternity inform me it is nothing more than statutory pay. Return to work is often messed up. Pre maternity leave risk assessments are often paper exercises by people who don't really know what they are doing just going through the motions.
