If you need leave you can speak to your manager about having unpaid leave a lot of night members do this with paternity
I heard mention that this might be a possibility, but as their staff turnover is already absurdly high, what's one more job to fill? So I wouldn't bet my money on your job being there at the end of an extended absence, for pretty much any reason.
Happily give it to you but no promise that you'll get the same past or hours back afterwards
