Airbnb Benefits

Does anyone have experience with building a house on a piece of land they own? I am looking to buy about 10 acres of waterfront property and build a home I can eventually retire into. Hopefully use it as an Airbnb in the meantime. No idea how the process works so wanted to ask around. More of a basic property and nothing too fancy or unique. Thanks

With rents being so high compared to US average, do yall Airbnb out your cribs when on vacation, say over a week? If so, do you DIY or hire a manager? Any reccs?

went on a family vacation (2 & 3 year old), wife and family members. nice AirBnB close to the beach. I paid, its about 6K for the week. I travel a lot and not trying to spend my vacation in hotel restaurants and rooms. We spent the trip at the pool & beach. Grilling and drinking at our Airbnb. We went out for a couple nice dinners that I also paid for. My wife came home and complained we didn’t go out enough and it wasn’t enjoyable to not be at a hotel. Am I wrong for being extremely offended?
