‘30 paid sick days. But management are really bad and they can be picky about this stuff and in effect discourage people to take advantage of this benefit.’
The benefits package is One of the best on the market
Pension scheme matching contributions vary by how old you are - if you put in 2, 3, 4, 5% then the employer's total core and matched contribution will be 6, 9, 12, 15%. Those four brackets are the age groups i.e. 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+. Good facilities on site in London e.g. gym and in-house physio/GP, plenty of PSLs and know-how resources, big pro bono programme, cycling lockers and showers, beds and taxis if working late, live cook canteen for 3 meals a day, BBQ terrace. Normal mat leave, flexi time, private health insurance etc.
Best thing is the yearly bonus Worst thing is the lack of equality between Belfast and London offices
Benefits are very comprehensive (as with most magic circle law firms)
Allen & Overy is a very good place to work. You can get a competitive salary, plus bonus depending on your performance reviews yearly. Only negative side I can image is since you are a support staff member, promoting to higher positions is a bit tough due to lack of opportunities.
There is a great gym, doctor and dentist in the building. Great subsidised restaurant; childcare vouchers and bike-to-work scheme all available to staff.
The vacations were always working vacations.
Best thing was the healthcare insurance.
pension scheme, private medical, maternity leave and bonus scheme.
Private health insurance, onsite gym, onsite GP, nurse, dentist, physio, etc. Options for flexible working (although not consistently applied). Good about giving you extra time off if needed (e.g. death in family).
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
