As a contractor, we didn't get sick pay but for the days/hours I was in the hospital for treatment Amazon were happy for me to work overtime after to make up for the time spent away.
The sick pay at amazon is adequate however the working environments in which you work in within the warehouse are second rate
2 years full-time employment - up to 3 weeks pay for the whole period.
I can specifically think of anything bad about it.
Only used once and only for one day, but I did not have a problem getting paid or asking for the time off.
As a contractor you have to inform the recruit agency of any sick leave and also holiday, so that you can get paid for such. This is on top of telling your line manager.
It is average for such a company and very american in outlook, i.e. look after yourself, and dont expect the company to look after you.
3 weeks paid with doctors note
30 days of sick pay
I havent really had to use this. I get paid the same for being unwell. Amazon and their managers are really understanding about circumstances such as being unwell and various other situations that i have heard of.
