Does anyone here work for Silicon Valley Bank? They recently acquired Boston Private. I’m a candidate for a job at Boston Private. Wondering if SVB is planning layoffs in the near term at BP? Also, does anyone know the anticipated benefits to be rolled out from SVB as the parent company? Specifically interested in health insurance providers. Thanks in advance for any information! FIRE Financial Independence Retire Early
How do you plan for medical insurance and needs while planning for FIRE. When you retire early - your medical costs will go higher with private insurance and no eligibility for Medicare etc. That can be a huge increase in your monthly expenses especially if you have on- going needs like diabetes - insulin etc, BP and other long-term diseases. How do you plan for this?
Flexible benefit Not being able to invest more
Pension, maternity and paternity support
Variety of share package options available for permanent employees
Decent benefits across all grades improving as you go up the ranks. Private health insurance, life insurance, share match program, cycle to work scheme etc. Pension matching could be much better.
Generous package and flexible working
Final salary pension (now closed to new employees), Bupa private medical insurance, life assurance.
