Best is it save money No bad bits
No support or respect from higher level management
really bad. Poor holiday allowance, 20 days only plus bank holidays even for senior management. We're all the same riff-raff to Fred. No sick pay, and if you qualify for a bonus at all they won;t just not pay you for being ill, they will also take your entire bonus for a 5 days of absence. Pay is ok but that's about it. Shady practices going on here take no chances with senior management if your moral fabric is in any way important to you. Fred is all about his other companies, and Betfred is no more than a cashcow, milked to further the careers of the "in-crowd" at his other ventures. Billionaires are rich for a reason, they are more clever, and more ruthless than other people.
Holidays needed to be booked a year or more in advance, pay was minimum wage (with over 25s cashiers actually able to earn more than under 21s deputy managers!), the incentive schemes were poorly organised with changing goal posts and rewards. For a small shop to actually smash the summer incentives and work out is should be a 250-350 pound reward to get 150 in asda vouchers instead is a bit of a blow.
