They look after you and the staff store card and points for staff with the advantage card are a real plus
Good things: Discount card. Benefits Box - has usual high street discount opportunities, health club discount etc. You can also give to benevolent fund which helps employees and ex-employees in time of hardship Started offering Paternity leave for longer than statuary min. Buy holidays - always feels expensive!! Worst things: Bonus - as a retail organisation this is hard to gain. Probably not something you should consider will happen. Also difficult for colleagues in the support office to influence on a day to day basis Pay rise - Pay rise has recently been 1% or 2%, unless you are significantly under paid. Difficult/impossible to get more than that. Pay disparity is huge across levels. Salaries are a massive secret at Boots, due to length of service impact and previous more generous packages which are no longer available.
Good employee discount and corporate discounts .
You did not get paid for having a sick day or two off. But if ill all week you got paid after the first three days
There is no such thing as "worst thing" about the Boots benefit package. I like the benefits as you get 22.5% off boots products and 12.5% off non boots products as well as a free eye test and 37.5% off glasses with boots. You also every year get a double discount which starts off on the 7 October - 15 October. Also you get benefits on other high street shops as well
There is a pension scheme, 25 days holiday a year (full time) and an opportunity to buy holidays. You get staff discount of 22.5% on boots branded and 12.5% on branded which really doesn't compare to a lot of other retailers.
10% off non boots items & 20% off boots banded items
Not many perks. Discount is average.
I woul say that in term of incentives, the company does offer a private pension scheme, paid holidays which have to be scheduled in advance (but staff cannot go on holiday in December)
You get a decent employee discount and pension is competitive. You have to pay for parking if you drive to the head office site.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
