Senior staff members were extremely understanding of other commitments if you needed to move shifts around. So long as you worked your contracted hours or alternatively booked holiday time, they were very helpful in fitting shifts around you.
Friendly environment to work in
Good working hours, managers sort it out.
You can try and get hours to suit you but it depends
You can always change your availability with a discussion with your store manager
flexible working, 1 day a week from home.
You can't really choose your days, you're just given them and if one week you find you have a family commitment or something it is very difficult to get that day off
it is easy to rearrange shifts with colleagues and to co ordinate with the manager if things are not going as planned that week.
Obviously with agreement you can stay longer and get time back in lieu dependant on your job requirements.
Working from home a common practice however this depends on the team and line manager. Also flexible desks and working in quiet and "easy to think" spaces in the building. Not seen flexible working as good as this except Google.
