fine to work from home, just had to let the manager know. although there was a stigma associated with WFH, as you were assumed to be slacking off
Best thing - it is normal to work from home for 1-2 days per week (and even take 1-2 weeks to work from home on ad hoc basis in case of sickness), however it should be agreed in advance with your team management
Not available for all works streams and needs to be booked in with prior notice so can be a bit awkward in emergency situations
