Cap on non typical services is too low at around 500 especially when they cover 80% VS 100
The benefits package is pretty standard from what I understand. We are also provided with a yearly lifestyle rewards dollar amount that can be used towards gym memberships, courses, entertainment, etc. Depending on your role and business unit, travel to annual conferences and Christmas parties is all included as well.
401K match is only 2 percent
Health care is okay. Best part is the office culture
The overall compensation package is amazing! My favorite perks of working with Harris are the 3 weeks vacation as the standard, plus 5 personal days per year, plus Dental, medical, and eyewear plan, plus the flexibility to work from home when needed, plus the RRSP and Employee share ownership plan is very attractive to me! Plus the personal computer purchase program, PLUS the lifestyles rewards program! I can go on but I think the point is clear. The compensation package is top notch!

RRSP / 401K matching, but it's at 50%, max $2K, and taken from the pool of money that would have gone towards your bonus. That means if you don't participate in this benefit, you lose out on the money as some of your bonus will go towards other's matching. Lifestyle benefits not even enough to pay for bus passes for the year. Medical / Dental / Vision are all included, but at reduced levels that get smaller every time they revisit the coverage. Basic Life Insurance is a part but is only barely enough to cover a funeral. Added life insurance is an option, but comes out of pay. Same with a few other types of insurance. If you're willing to pay for the added coverage, they'll figure out some way to take your money. They will compensate you for the cost of school, but not for the time it takes. You have to use holiday time for that if you need it.
