Insanely good staff discount when I first joined, it was altered a little over my time there but stayed mostly the same. If you are Harvey Nichols staff (and not concession) your discount is 40% on clothing (excluding concessions, which you would get 20% off) and 60% off 'uniform' allowance up to £1000 yearly if you were full time. You did not have to wear HN clothes to work however. You would then get both your 40% and 60% discount on top of sale items however I believe this has changed slightly. 30% off on the foodcourt and restaurant and make-up + beauty counters! On top of this there were days where beauty and perfume samples would be sold to staff only twice a year for between £3 and £10. Some people would get bottles of super expensive perfume for £5. As well as being allowed a staff only shop of the sale items when they first become discounted before the store opens. There were also often days where we were pulled from the shop floor for training in everything from Asian culture to current fashion trends etc.
Best benefit I got honestly was the experience and working around people who loved what they do.
They offered great discounts ranging from 30%- 60% on great brands and offer a travel card which covers all zones within London.
Discounts are good across multiple areas. They offer a good travel card scheme as well.
Great benefits, heavily subsidised zone 1-6 travel card, generous staff discount in store and restaurants
Uniform allowance, staff discount, rewards scheme, discounted travel card and performance based commission
Interns do not get the staff discount as we are not on the payroll system or anything like that, which wasn't that bad. I was not hoping for a discount anyway, just good opportunity to gain experience.
Annual Travel Card, Staff Discount, Summer Hours.
Discount across the restaurants and for beauty is useful as you can utilise your discount unlike other luxury fashion retailers.
After 6 months, a zone 1 to 5 travel card is given to employee's for a mere £30 a month
