Ring into an automated sickness line to record you days off (however, nobody checks this, so you can inform your manager that you're ill, while not recording your days off as being sick).
they have the 'bare minimum' - nothing special. The only thing worth noting is that the sickness is managed by BUPA and I witnessed several members of staff clearly taking the michael re phoning in sick and nothing seemed to happen to them (we're talking more than 20 sickness occurances per year!!)
If I was ever sick I would just inform my manager. I had to have an operation and he encouraged me to take some time off to recover which I was still paid for.
Depends on your contract
always paid in the event of sickness
sick leave? no worries, get it sorted through your GP->Manager->HR.
I never used their sick pay benefit so I cannot really comment but seemed to be as you would expect for a large corporation.
The sick pay was the only good thing about this company, restrictions was being bought in before I left and they are tightening up on this now. Once again, the benefits are slowly being taken away
never used this but I believe there is 6 months sick pacy
in line with market conditions
