Great employee rate at hotels
Whilst there are many soft benefits at IHG more could be done to support tax relief.
The cheap rate on rooms and food
Do not compensate for the low pay
care about your safety
The subsidised meals and private health insurance are great however the salaries are not competitive against industry averages.
Great Perks, Pension, Health and Bonus.
Fantastic Supportive Environment here at IHG
Great facilities on location, including a gym with lunch time classes available. Good bonus package and private health and dental care.
Included for all employees is a generous pension scheme in which IHG pay double your contribution per month up to around 5%. Hotel staff rates are available across the world with only a few exceptions (mainly French Polynesia) but this is based on a percentage of each hotels average nightly rate so varies hugely and isn't the benefit it once was in the key cities. Holiday entitlements are above standard and flexible working is available with a focus on the work/life balance for all employees - IHG promote a "room to be yourself" culture and they do live up to that. Sales employees have a standard sales bonus of around 20% for direct sales and 5% for support and all other employees receive an annual bonus which is linked to the company's final results and paid annually. I have only known this not to be paid once as long as you hit your performance metrics. Sick leave and time off for dependents is also pretty generous and IHG works with external companies to help you manage any issues you may have with things such as your health. Private Healthcare access is available but does depend on banding - the company operates a band system for total packages between 1 and 8 - most managers will be band 6 and entitled to the healthcare scheme, directors are band 5 and so on with 1 being the highest, reserved for the CEO i believe. Overall the benefits package is very good for the industry.
