Our success is down to the fantastic teams which run our pubs.
50% discount, good management, good hours
best thing for working here was the other members of staff and the customers. The management could do with more training as it seemed based a lot on personal preferences on who got what job or promotions not the individuals credits.
- free parking - 28 days holiday (but no bank holidays)
20% discount on all food and drink
It was a good company but because of the low skilled nature of the labour provided the perks provided were not comparable to opportunities requiring a higher level of human capital. However, relative to similarly skilled jobs they are very good.
50% off food and drink whilst working, 20% when off shift, this can be used for when buying for a couple friends/family etc as well. Would be nice if there was more emphasis on staff moral, perhaps with more staff socials and events.
Best - 50% off food/drink during shift
Pros Good discount on food: when on shift you get 50% discount, when off shift you get 33% discount Fairly flexible with time off as long as you book it in advance Cons Poor training- this was my first bar job, and I was offered no practical training. My first shift was at 1pm on a Saturday (it was a football day, so extra busy), and I was just thrown on the bar by my manager and expected to cope even though they were fully aware I only had waitressing experience. I am also a student, as are many Spoons employees, and management was fully aware of this- however was shocked and pretty annoyed at me when I asked for Christmas Day and Boxing Day off to go home (as did the other students at the pub).
50% off Food during shift, 20% off Food and Drink at all other times.
25% off on food and drink when off duty and 50% off food and drink when on duty
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
