At Wetherspoon, we are committed to ensuring that our staff are rewarded for their hard work.
Our success is down to the fantastic teams which run our pubs.
50% of food at lunch, good management structure opportunities, the job I found easy as it was similar to a job I had worked before
Hourly pay is good for part time work and the benefit scheme is good, management is terrible to work with/for
You now get 50% off food at whilst working (no change) but 20% off food and drinks (yes this now includes alcohol and food is up to a party of 4 but drinks is up to the member giving you the discount) so it's not bad to be fair...you get a pint of dark fruits for under £3 👌
The best would be that all of the food was half price Worst would be I could do a 12 hour shift and only get a 30 min break
Bonuses after every audit, but if pub is doing badly because of reasons that stemmed from before you were working there bonus is very very small.
Long service rewards, share plan, bonus scheme, discount on food, drink and hotels
The pay is of an acceptable level and you get free shares when you have worked for the company for a few years. The downside is you due to the nature of service you don't receive tips as you would in a similar work environment for a different employer
The share scheme is very good, I had a deposit for a house ready when I needed it just for a simple sign up phonecall.
the bonus schemes really only apply to management. being in roles below said management i probably recieved £100 max in 5 years?
The discounts were decent
