Can swap days/get holiday quite easy depending on the time of year.
Really great flexibility. Very helpful for working parents and those with various physical, mental, or learning challenges
This works in two ways, you have to be flexible for the business as they are to you. If you have other commitments or a family, John Lewis tend to work around you and curate a rota that works for you, but this can also mean they may require you on days you are not usually to work and request you to change.
You can Time bank your shifts, but it can be difficult to claim back the time
Head office work flexibly if agreed.
- It was shift work, therefore you were able to swap with other people. - as it is a retail shop, working over the festive period was needed.
The managers will try their best to make your timetable suit you
Mostly small contracts with large amounts of overtime to chose from, making work adaptable each week.
If they were short and you offered to help that was great, but if you needed time off it was less flexible.
Can defer hours to black fiday
