Can swap days/get holiday quite easy depending on the time of year.

This works in two ways, you have to be flexible for the business as they are to you. If you have other commitments or a family, John Lewis tend to work around you and curate a rota that works for you, but this can also mean they may require you on days you are not usually to work and request you to change.
You can Time bank your shifts, but it can be difficult to claim back the time
