No sick pay although full holiday pay. No extra pay for working bank holidays.
We had staff discount. While we were working we were allowed a free drink and donut on our breaks. We got free breakfast when we had an early morning meeting.
Best thing is the holiday and the staff discount which is 50% off the donuts.
You just get holiday, stat paternity/maternity and some short-term flexibility regarding hours. There is now an employee-benefit website which offers some cashback and discounts. You can eat a reasonable number of doughnuts every shift and drink unlimited hot drinks: BUT both of these are subject to retail stock levels (if customers will buy the reserves then you have to avoid the in-demand product).
Benefits package is good - life and death in service insurance, pension scheme, paid holiday, bonus pay for work on bank holidays, little gifts in festive season, free doughnuts and drinks on your shift, employee discounts.
there is a pension thing, but I generally don't bother with it. you get the standard 28 days a year I believe of holidays. they stopped free donuts to take away which is bad.
you only get free doughnuts a week also 50% off for family and friends
