Generous annual leave Lots of internal opportunities for progression Good salary with yearly increment Discounts with lots of partner employers Work-life balance
Pay is less than some other institutions and no flexitime but good training options, 2 paid breaks per day and if you are a professional librarian post you get an iPad.
Worst is the senior management which is constantly changing and not experience. Best is a conducive teaching environment.
Great benefits – can’t really beat the annual leave allowance (you get all of Christmas off because the university is closed, extra 5 days once you’ve done 5 years’ service), and they are flexible around the hours you do, which is great considering how poor transport in GM can be. The benefits app they have isn’t the best, but it doesn’t matter because you can have access to Unidays from your staff email anyway which has really good deals.
Excellent annual leave allowance, at least 25 days + bank holidays + Christmas shut down period, and this does increase by time served and seniority. You can access Unidays app as staff.
Some reductions on crap you'll never use.

Good annual leave, well above average. Poorly paid mat leave and need to be there for over a year to get it.
Flexible working is the best thing
Very little in the way of perks over and above a fairly poor discount scheme are offered by Manchester Metropolitan University
