They pay you for sick pay as long as you call in the morning before your shift. Just follow company procedures.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Marks and Spencer Assistant in Bristol, England

they offersick pay but you cannot be ill regularly or they make you feel as if youve done somthing wrong. The policy is awful and unfair on staff members.

Sick pay up to 26 weeks depending on length of service. But expect to be harassed while off sick & expect to be called in for meetings regarding length of absence. Their favourite fraise is I'm not sure how long we can sustain this length of absence.... I'd worked there 19 years, been off 4 weeks with a bleed on the brain from a traumatic head injury!

CSP is paid once you reach 3 full months service. It is paid in full for the first incidence of sickness, for any subsequent absence in the same 12 week period the first day in unpaid. Company sick allowance increases per month during the first year in employment and then by each year in employment after that.

easy to call in absences however you have to of worked there for a few years to get sick pay.

Awful when you are genuinely ill and have been off too many times (three times in twelve weeks). Nothing can be done avoid punishment.

Judgemental if you have been sick more than three times in 12 weeks. It doesn't make a difference whether or not you have a sick note. Nothing can be done if you're off longer than maximum number of days allowed to avoid disciplinary (even when it's genuine).
