Sick pay seemed reasonable, as a young and fairly healthy person, but may seem restrictive others such as older or chronically ill people.

First sick day - told would not be paid as I did not phone in in a particular half hour window. Ridiculous.

  • 23 Jan 2020
StarStarStarStarStar Current Section Coordinator in London, England

  • 27 Dec 2019
StarStarStarStarStar Former Employee in Glasgow, Scotland

It's restricted to a certain number of days, you don't get anything for your first three days off sick. Disciplinary is triggered, quite harsh with no realisation that humans get sick or injured.

  • 17 Nov 2019
StarStarStarStarStar Former Customer Assistant in London, England

You really need to get to grips with their sickness policy as there are many things that you have to do, failure means you don't get paid. Length of service reflects if you are entitled to sick pay. Read all their policies to keep your job safe.
