I would have to say the best perk for me was the amount of annual leave on top of public holiday and the days you could take as flexi.
There are benefits at the organisation especially for longer term servants. However, flexible working when requested was frowned upon.
Annual pay rises are non existant and salaries barely increase for COLA
It was a bit rubbish really but probably about right for how much brain stimulation you'd get. Those staff on fixed term contracts did not get the same benefits as those who were permanent.
I have worked for the Ministry of Justice full-time (More than a year), benefits package isn't that great
Public sector means limited benefits - but you see and feel the effect of your work first-hand which is satisfying
Amazing pension - 22% employer contribution!
best thing about the benefits is that there are so many options open for discounts however, there are some places that i love which are not included
22 days plus 8 bank holidays,
Flexible working hours. Ability to work from home. Civil Service pension. Season ticket loan.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
