Depending on salary and seniority level there is either a 5% or 15% “flex” benefit fund attached to your salary. This can be used to purchase additional annual leave (as the entitlement is the legal minimum), supplement salary (as cash in pay), or used for a range of other things such as bike scheme, childcare vouchers, pension contributions and so on. Lots of benefits that are additional to other companies are “included” in this flex fund, including company car, decent vacation package. This can either be good or bad, usually depending on salary and whether or not this flex is being used to boost a salary to an acceptable level. Good approach to flexible working, including working from home for relevant roles.
The contract. No benefits, poor salaries and desperate for staff
5% fund that an be spent on childcare or buying extra holiday time. Most of these can't be bought mid year, and can only be bought in December to January. So joining and leaving outside of that period means you'll lose it.
Flexibility to use benefit fund how you want. Can buy extra holiday and get matched pension contributions. Lots of benefits to choose from if you want them.
Like most things at SBS it's the legal minimal amount they have to offer. 20 days Annual Leave.
