You get a credit card which all the senior managers use to go out drinking, all they do is select 'lost receipt' and no questions are asked. Some of them boast of the thousands they have spent partying and because there are so many employees working for Openreach and BT nobody ever checks who has 'lost' the most receipts.

Interesting work. Love that it's about connecting the UK. Never the same. Always new tech. For what is out there good pay / T&C's Relative job security. If you're a good worker you're just left to get on with it and have little hassles from management.

4 weeks holiday - you might come bach to no job or be transferred to a new group miles away from home address, so more travelling for free Used to listen to managers who were discussing their staff who were sick with stress, how they were preparing to have them sacked. You have the right to sick leave, but take and you will probably be sacked. Pay is rubbish especially if you are a new recruit.
