Employees can elect to sacrifice up to a maximum of £243 a month from their salary inexchange for childcare vouchers. The deduction comes out of their gross salary; thereforethey do not pay tax or National Insurance on the deduction and make a saving. The elected childcarer must be registered by Ofsted. Vouchers can be used until a child is 15 years of age.
