‘Alright pay, never had trouble claiming it at all’
‘haha............. non except Parcel force would give you a half price offer on postage at Christmas for large items..... Never needed that and when I started I got 25 1st class stamps from the Post office then the following year asked where they were and they said they had stopped doing it... wow .....’
Private health care, pension, car allowance for senior grades
Good variety of shop discounts
Never had any trouble claiming benefits, staff always treated me alright
25-27 days holiday depending on seniority. 10-18% bonus depending on pay band. Car allowance from band 4. Not much else as it’s public sector. Pension contributions will be matched.
Best thing are the hours and pay only in a crown office!!! Other sub post offices and WHSmith only pay min wage! The work you pit in in one of those is not worth the pay!
It is like a big family and everyone helps each other. The management treat you as an individual and not a number. Not matter how big or small your role everyone is made to feel worthwhile.
Managers use favouritism so can’t get time off when needed,
Good rate and pension, paid breaks short working hours week and yearly bonus
You have to work extremely hard to achieve sales targets set and drivers against delivering customer excellence in order to receive the quarterly bonuses
The Horizon system had its faults and it wasnt easy to find errors to trace back where money was being lost with end of day balances....... Very stressful and your responsible and have to make up the shortfall with your own cash.......
