- Pension 6% matched, but relatively expensive in fees. Has recently reduced fees due to government regulation capping excessive charges. Provided is Aviva via AON. Pension renewal was rushed through before legislation changes on independent advice came into effect. - 23 days + bank holiday. Mandatory shutdown period over Christmas/New Year will come out of your allowance. American companies aren't known for their generosity when it comes to holidays. - Extra day of holiday per year of service but capped at an additional 2 days. (i.e. after 2 years you will reach the maximum of 25 days). - Most managers are very flexible about work from home, if office based. Many workers are 100% WFH. - Health insurance presently via Aviva. Usual issues of battling through your GP to get a referral (for which most charge). Low excess. Tax payable as considered a BIK. - Cycle to work is available but only from Evan's Cycles. - Engineer's pay in UK is not impressive compared to peers, but work environment is good and there are an incredible number of very talented people working there. It's generally a very open culture, so there are positive factors offsetting the pay.
