Best thing is the 40% staff discount, worse is the ability to change your shifts between weeks
Management get £115 every 12 weeks of clothes for uniform and £500 worth of half price every month.
Really good discount but the holiday could be slightly more.
The only benefits I was aware of / that applied to me were the staff discount, uniform allowance and 28 days holiday. The staff discount was very generous (40% off) and the uniform allowance was reasonable as it was based on how many hours you worked, though sometimes (if you needed jeans, for example) it wasn't enough to buy outfits to last a whole fashion season.
You are given a limited uniform allowance (based on your contracted hours) which is about enough for maybe a pair of jeans and a t shirt or 2. However, you are required to wear only River Island branded or non branded clothes so if you're in more than 4 times a week it can be a bit of a problem. Also, your employee discount is limited to a certain amount for a certain period of time. Again, makes buying clothes for work a lot more expensive than it needs to be seeing as you're required to wear River Island clothes.
Easy to book holidays off as rotas are created far in advance. Clothing allowance depending on how much you work.
40% discount an also a work uniform each season aswell
Pension, Holiday on 20 days which is low compared to other companies
Company perks such as employee discounts are great. 40% off all items excluding promotion and sale. However, 40% is given on sale items at discretion of the company but it isn't a regular company thing.
Best thing is the discount you get 50% if you're management and 40% if you're staff. Seeings as the clothes are overpriced this helps a lot. You get uniform which is £115 if you work 5 days a week but a percentage of this comes off your wage so it's technically not free.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
