Their holiday including sick pay is per rota, which means you can't get all the holiday in one-go. The idea is you have to accrue the number of days holiday per month (approx. 2 days) and by the time you pass your probation, you might have get around 10 days. You can't take extra holidays if you have not accrued that amount or you get your salary deducted. It's very inflexible. Imagine the work load is 120% and you hardly able to take time off for doctors. To ask for day off you need your line manager that is normal but it put people's off when the senior management is constantly swearing.
