As personnel numbers continue to be reduced, it is important that the full time staff remain medically fit. To this end there is free medical and dental care. Fitness levels are not expected to drop so free access to a gym is also provided. The best benefit of serving in the RAF is that if you overseas or deployed and your closest family members are involved in a life threatening incident the RAF is Second to None in making every attempt at getting you to their side. This has included police escorts. Whislt serving there is a military discount schemes to take advantage of.
The AFPS 75 was outstanding. While the 2015 versions is much reduced, it it still much better than most Private sector equivalents. Travel to work used to be paid in full but is now not paid for 1st 8 miles. Excellent Medical & Dental schemes with in house professionals and great support package for Death in Service.
