Lots of different options from dental cover to a bike to work scheme.
Good time off, private health insurance at correct price, other side benefits (vouchers etc)
Holiday buy scheme is great, new employees can join a DC scheme for the pension. No perks for staff lending anymore.
Lots of different options to choose from.
Offers a value account circa 22% that can be spent on all sorts of benefits or simply take as cash, its good idea for pension saving
The total benefits package is not as good as competitors. Poor pension compared to other places i've worked. Also no staff products i.e cheaper loans, mortgages, savings accounts etc.
Family health insurance Day care vouchers Pensions Interest free loan towards rail pass.
Excellent flexible benefits package in the form of RBSelect. Provides a number of key core benefits (basic life cover, health cover, pension, etc) that can be enhanced if needed, plus a wide range of additional benefits that can be selected (additional annual leave, retail vouchers, car scheme, etc, etc). Benefit selections can be refreshed / changed on an annual basis.
Good package for staff and their family
Awful for junior staff. 10% on top of base. This improves to 20% once you get to VP/Associate Director level, but this is well below market. I would not recommend working at RBS for the benefits.
