  • Employee Discount(4 comments)

VAT taken off main Apple Products and 20% all accessories sold within the store.

  • Flexible Working(3 comments)

Can be flexible with working hours especially with uni students and other part-time workers. However you will be needed when necessary during product launches/holiday season.

Biggest perk is the Staff Discount. It varies on the different products but it's between 6%-15%. The only thing worth mentioning here is you must get through the probation period of 3 months.

The staff discount can be pretty poor sometimes but understandable given the the profit made on products being very small, their salary sacrifice option where you get discount and get to spread the cost interest free for 10 months is amazing.

There is no benefits package as such. Company pension is the NEST scheme and they only introduced that because it is a legal requirement. The contribute the bare minimum and won't raise their contributions if you increase yours. Staff discount is OK but not great. basically up to 10% on hardware and 20% on accessories - even with that discount you can get most of the stuff cheaper online! Holidays are OK if you're full time 25 days paid leave plus Easter day, Xmas Day and New Years day as paid holiday but if you're part time they give you your holiday pay in your wages each month based on what you have accrued so when you do take time off, you don't get paid because they've already given you the money. No insurance, no pension, no salary sacrifice scheme.

The commission is actually pretty poor, only because they use it to top you up to minimum wage. Commission is done on levels where you have to reach certain levels to get your commission, it starts at 0.02% for 10k and goes up. You also get targeted and commission on selling extras which I believe is wrong bearing in mind they encourage you to sell to the needs of the customer. You get targeted on things like Apple Care, Personal Trainer, Screen Protectors and Accidental Damage. Employee discount is also very poor and it works out better to buy a mac with student discount on the Apple store online. It says something when your discount is worse than an Apple stores family and friends discount. Employee discount varies between 5-20% depending on what your buying, however you don't get discount on the iPhones or the Watch which is pretty poor.

No company perks really you get 20% off third party stuff, 5% off an iPad, 10% off a mac but I rarely ever bought anything as it was almost always cheaper on the internet
