You're allowed 1 day off sick with few questions asked once each financial year. The second time you're ill you will be asked to have a discussion about your illness. Anything past that you need a doctor's note.
Never used it, but I believe it is the same as your normal pay up to a certain amount of days.
Every staff member is given 10 days sick day a year. However once you have used the 10 days up after you have started, you then have to start accumulating sick days again over the years. The sick pay is not explained in detail this way. The 10 days is not renewed every year. You will need to go a length of time without a sick day to accumulate more days. This is still a great benefit but its something that isn't explained clearly.
