Employer Summary

Every pregnant colleague is entitled to up to 52 weeks’ maternity leave. The first 26 weeks are classed as ‘ordinary maternity leave’, and the final 26 weeks as ‘additional maternity leave’. To help us look after you and your baby, please let your manager know that you are pregnant as soon as possible. Travelodge will confirm whether you are entitled to statutory maternity pay. If not, we will send you a SMP1 form to claim SMA (Statutory Maternity Allowance).

If you’re a new father, you can take paternity leave if you were employed with us for 26 weeks before the 15th week before your baby is due. You can take one week, or alternatively two consecutive weeks’ paternity leave within 56 days of the date of birth (or placement) of your child. SPP (statutory paternity pay) may apply, and this is subject to the lower earnings limit for National Insurance contributions.
