University of Manchester have a very generous holidays allowance. Not only do you receive your annual allowance of holidays (at my grade 29 days) but in addition to this you also receive all bank holidays and the University closure dates between Christmas and New year .

Networking is the best thing that happens to you. Work pressure is the worst. If you want to achieve something out of this university, you don't just study, but work with in university on something related to your field, keep an eye for work related opportunists in general, and exceed expectations.

The best thing about working for UofM was that they were very flexible about what you were doing with your time. They trusted you to just get on with all of your tasks.
