None since I am learning and paying fees
Good salaries, with automatic increments every academic year. Flexible approach to leave entitlement and a good scheme of emergency leave provision for those with caring responsibilities.
The university has an excellent pension scheme
Best - Private Healthcare, pension, reduced fee access to University leisure facilities, childcare vouchers, company shuts down over Christmas period for 3 days.
The best will be adding to your pension, the worst will be not having a flexible working culture and rigid to changing that
Not too sure. Was only there for a contract period for less than a year so I didn't expect anything. But my Line Manager was excellent and let me work my own hours, as I was an international student who was only allowed to legally work 20 hours a week. I proved that I could get the work done so I was able to choose the days I wanted to be in office.
I think the best perk was that you can get discounted tickets to manchester city or manchester united games, as they are sold at the student union (if you are a fan).
Generous holiday, Christmas closure plus public holidays. Defined benefit pension employer contributes double employee contribution.
Excellent teaching timetables, refurbished and new facilities, friendly staff and students. Committed staff. Manchester city centre only 5 minutes away, collaboration with surrounding universities.
As a contractor I wasn't eligible for any benefits.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
