What does a Band E do?
Musicians are artists who play a musical instrument or create musical works. They plan, develop, and present musical performances. These performances may occur in front of a live audience or may be recorded and shared via various media platforms at a later time. Musicians perform individually or collaboratively as part of a band or other group. They may also serve as a music teacher or act as a mentor to less experienced musicians.
Musicians may have a degree in music or other formal training, but demonstrated ability and relevant experience is often considered more important. They are frequently required to participate in an audition or provide recorded samples of their work before getting hired. The ability to read sheet music is required for many roles.
