FAQ: Do I have to pay for the training? No, we fund your training because we believe you have the potential to be a future leader in tech. When do I start getting paid? You will be paid from the day your training begins, with a pay increase when you start work on your first client assignment. How long do I have to work for Sparta Global? When you accept a place on our training course, you agree to work as a Spartan consultant for 24 months. This contract length enables you to truly take advantage of the exceptional employer partnerships we have created, giving you time to work on-site with top tier organisations for 24 months, alongside continued support and learning opportunities with Sparta Global. What happens if I am not enjoying the training course? In the rare instance that you do not want to continue your journey with Sparta Global, you are able to withdraw from a course in the first two weeks. After this time, choosing to withdraw will mean you are liable for the cost of the training you have received. If there are circumstances where you need to leave your course for personal reasons, we will keep your place open and allow you to re-join later. Am I guaranteed work following the training? Our business is built on providing emerging talent with training and career opportunities, and we only run courses when there is demand in the industry for your skill set. For this reason, we are confident every successful Spartan will find a job with us. However, there is always a small risk that we can’t guarantee you a job. When can I expect to start my first tech role? 75% of our trainees are assigned to their first roles before they even complete their Academy training, while others will typically wait between 1-4 weeks before beginning work with a client. Should you be faced with a wait period, there are ample opportunity to continue your learning through our online e-learning platforms. What happens if you can’t find me a job? In the rare instance that we cannot secure you a job within 60 days of completing your training, you will be able to leave your contract with us and seek employment elsewhere. Can I choose the client I work with? We work with more than 70 organisations across the UK, with representatives from almost every industry sector. Each client has different requirements at different times and this means our Spartans cannot have control over who they choose to work with. While our priority is getting people into work as soon as possible, we do try to match Spartans with industries they are passionate about. Can I stay in my local area? We cannot guarantee job opportunities close to where you currently live and must ask all Spartans to be geographically flexible. As a company our goal is to act as a springboard for people who want to start a career in tech. To ensure our Spartans have access to the best career pathways, we do not want to restrict them to job opportunities only local to where they live. If this was to be the case, it would take much longer to get our people into work. Being geographically flexible means you are not limited and can jump at any of the exceptional opportunities that come your way.
