Do you think age (or perceived age) factors into promotions or raises? Curious about the typical age that people are promoted to principle, sr. manager, manager, etc, or does the vary by industry? I’m on the younger side but have a lot of work experience so wondering if age will hurt me in future promotions

How late is too late to be sending emails to the team? Sometimes I'm working later into the evening and send out emails so I don't forget. I'm sending these emails to the team's work emails and I've made it clear I don't expect responses until the next day. But sometimes people still complain. Just turn off your notifications when you leave work. What's the big deal?

Big 4 salaries come with big burnout risks. I'm currently at Deloitte, and I'm running on fumes. However, I'm too afraid to take a step back or take time off because I never know when layoffs will hit and I don't want to be seen as weak. So I keep pushing myself. How do you guys work yourself to the point of exhaustion and yet avoid burnout?

For EY 16 weeks paternity leave and they let you add on 3 weeks of flexible vacation on the back end for a total of 19 weeks. Used to need to be at the firm for a year to qualify, but they just changed it to effective immediately upon starting with the firm.
You’d probably burn a bridge. But that would be it
Policy change to no service required was effective on July 1 this year.

I believe you are required to be eligible by how many hours you have completed in service. Might be the same for any company. You could say most companies are trying to make sure none of this is pre-existing
Dm if you want to join EY
For KPMG, you have to be FMLA eligible which requires a year of service.
