Is it acceptable to use the logos of companies you've worked for on your resume? On one hand it is eye catching, but on the other there might be legal implications on using a brand asset. Thoughts?

For my entire life i have struggled with severe adhd. the kind of adhd where i had extreme difficulty remembering anything due to this issue i had little to no control over i lost way to many jobs over the years. It wasn't until 2025 that i found a medication that actually helped my memory significantly! Now i am desperate to develop new skills and make up for lost time. Now that the problem is mostly under control and i have hit the proverbial glass ceiling at my current job. suggestions?
Has anyone made a lateral move within a hospital without a clinical background? I've been a cook for 16 years and I'm ready to get out of the kitchen. My position is casual so shifts aren't guaranteed. I've been applying externally but nothing is biting. Recently applied for an internal Messenger role as a first step. Any advice on what roles are realistic without clinical experience?
I'm 50+, and I'm feeling the pinch of "aging out". I see a lot of 50-67 age groups being let go, forced to quit, laid off, or retired early. How did you upgrade your job skills or pivot to remain workable? This is weighing heavily on my heart, and I just don't feel I have it in me anymore to deal with the things at my job. It's like they're doing things to make me want to quit. But if I do, where do I begin in my new life to continue to work until I'm old enough to retire per law? Lost!!
I'm a 70 year young female, with the energy of a 25 year old. My work ethics are above and beyond. No job is not my job. My work history is a plethora of things. Healthcare. From administration to PCA. Payroll clerk. Banking to material control for Disney. Data entry. NEVERTHELESS, technology has changed since I was in the work force. Every job has to be taught. So now my skills are limited to cleaning, which im Great at. Whatever I do is unto a Higher Power. If He's pleased I'm great.
You are not using it to make any money/ profit out if it (in complete sense of with that logo) and as long as this is the case, it is not a case of IP infringement. So based this, it is not wrong to use the logo of the firm you have worked with on your CV/ Resume. Hope this helps.
That’s not how trademark law works. Profit doesn’t determine whether you’re allowed to use someone else’s IP. They have the right to decide where their logo goes, with the exceptions of fair use, comparative advertising, and parody. Using it on your resume might come under fair use, but it also might confuse the applicant tracking systems that a lot of companies use to scan resumes. It I think it’s a bad idea.
It is a matter of choice. Personally, I don’t feel logo makes too much of a difference in a resume.
I haven't seen any resumes with the logos of companies. I wonder if it will put any impact on the CV. Still, worth a try.
This is an interesting question. It made me wonder if people ever add a QR code that links to the businesses they worked for or even a QR code to an applicant website or video.
That's a good idea :)
LinkedIn uses their logos and I don't think they seek any permission for that.
