My patience for this job is waning… I’m 35, single, no debt - Made some decent investments last year in some AI chip stocks and now they’re coming to roost.. my brokerage account is now more than my 401k. I feel like my life is 90% work and 10% everything else. I wonder if I should take some extended time off (6mo-1yr) as I would love to actually have space for things during the week again and explore / grow in other areas of my life. Is it time?
Would you take a pay cut from $205K base to $180K base to go fully remote + can live wherever (from 2 days in office in NYC).
I spent some time at Deloitte and hated it for many reasons. I have an offer on the table with KPMG and wondering if the culture there is any better. Any insights from someone who worked at both?
I was just terminated from the deals group. I’ve let myself go in terms of my health and weight. I figured I’d use a good chunk of the severance time to get in shape over the summer and focus on my health but my friends and family are pushing me to find a way to juggle both and call me crazy for taking my time. My plan is to build a morning routine of fitness and work that into my new schedule when I’m rehired. Any thoughts ?

check Costco travel. I've gotten better prices there than any codes. you don't need a membership to pick it up, just to book
Thanks but I’ve already booked and don’t have a membership. Also I’m tied into the AVIS ecosystem due to the Deloitte agreement.
gotcha fyi Costco does avis, budget, enterprise etc too. I use a friends membership to create an account and login and book. but glad you got a good rate
