What are the first 5 things you should do when you get put on a PIP? Just learned about it this morning. I didn't see it coming. Planning on working on the resume later, but I'm spiraling a bit right now.
I am 63 years old and have 30 years of Collections management experience working in banks . I currently have an individual contributor role job making $110,000 per year . Our office is only 5 people. I report to the owner . I've been here 3 years. I recently received a job offer of $110,000 for a Collections Manager for a Debt Collection law firm. They have a 401K plan but no match. My current job is very low stress , casual dress, and a very easy job. Is this new job worth the move ?
I got a nice review recently, but no change in comp or scope, and it made me wonder how much praise matters without action behind it. Kind words are great, but they don’t pay rent. Do you value recognition if it doesn’t come with tangible reward?
Our VP mandated that all cameras must be on for every single internal Zoom call. No one is happy. We’re supposed to be hybrid now, but this feels like a passive-aggressive way to make sure we’re sitting rigidly at our desks in full business casual at home. Was never like this when we were fully remote. Is this a reasonable expectation for a modern workplace?
Question for advisors: A client passes away. The account is relatively small, and there’s a good chance the surviving spouse will move the assets elsewhere. From a practice-management standpoint, there may be little economic incentive to spend money on flowers, memorial donations, etc. Do you send flowers, make a donation, send a handwritten card, call the family, or simply handle the paperwork professionally? Where do you draw the line between being a business owner and being a human being?
135 base 25k bonus 45 hours NYC
I'd second it.. previously worked at another international Bank... VP in corporate banking base around 160-200 (they had internal levels within VP)... Bonus varies on target and group performance but I heard anywhere from 20% - 50%
Total comp. VP base for investment banking at BAML is $250k. Not sure what corporate banking VP is, I would guess around $200k
^ ouch, really??
That’s way too low
That’s so far off it’s not even funny. I would say closer to 80% of investment bankers at the associate level, probably lower the higher you get, and around 65-70 hours a week. Less weekend work than investment banking but it still occurs
@Baml 2 - do you mean 80% of IB on the bonus portion? Or total comp? Is VP base really $135k?
I think Corp VP 1 base at my firm is 180, maybe 200 at VP 2. Don’t know bonus amount
Thanks BAML 2!
