Current Employee - IOS Engineer

I have been working at Badoo full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

⁃ great technical competency of every single engineer ⁃ supportive management ⁃ keeping up-to-date with the latest tech (swift, kotlin) ⁃ broad range of projects to work on as the company moves at... a very fast pace ⁃ possibility to switch between teams and even departments ⁃ the company grows and improves a lot in terms of diversity, management approach and technology ⁃ full cover of visiting 2 conferences per year (tickets, transport, hotel, food), unlimited as a speaker ⁃ outstanding perks: amazing food (breakfast, lunch, dinner), daily upperback massages, frequent team activities (travel, lunches,.. — up to the team!), sports (gym, football, tennis,..) ⁃ best bi-annual parties ever ⁃ PS love my team :)

Cons

⁃ lack of equity compensation ⁃ too frequent performance reviews ⁃ from time to time there are projects with very hard deadlines (could be a plus for someone as it feels like a startup job)

Advice to Management

⁃ keep moving in the right direction as we do now - drop monthly performance reviews ⁃ introduce share options scheme ⁃ introduce better gym cover (£40/pm cover is nothing in central London)

Current Employee - Paid Marketing Specialist

I have been working at Hotjar full-time for less than a year

Pros

Rigorous recruitment process to ensure you are the right fit for the role and the role is right for you too Transparency Honesty Friendliness Lots of opportunity for personal development People... who genuinely care and want to see you succeed People who listen and take feedback on board Regular 1:1s with your lead Trust Remote working Work the hours you are at your best

Cons

As long as you can manage your working time, ensuring you don't over-work yourself (which is a risk when working remote) there are no cons for me.

Advice to Management

I know I am not the only one to get wow moments almost every day at Hotjar, so continue as you are!
