Featured Review

Current Employee - Risk Manager

I have been working at Barclays full-time

Pros

Flexibility, ability to transfer, opportunities to progress and develop, most colleagues become like family

Cons

Nothing to fault the business but through the years, you can get the odd manager who won’t manage the personalities that upset others unnecessarily or who are unprofessional and this can be common... in some areas but you have the ability to move on if you want

Advice to Management

To better manage the people that succeed by stepping on others or take credit for overs work. Mental health in general is managed well, but often when the manager is the cause this can be a very... lengthy progress to sort, and that’s even if that person has the confidence to stand up through fear of backlash

Current Employee - Subject Matter Expert (SME)

I have been working at PwC full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

Very supportive and encouraging work environment; lots of great role models who invest time in developing others; still learning new things all the time despite working for the company for > five... years and remain challenged and engaged in my role.

Cons

A fast-paced environment which can be very busy at times - however, the strong sense of camaraderie and supportive environment prevent this from becoming too overwhelming.
