Former Employee - Bim Manager

I worked at C.W. Driver full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

I was treated like family. Definitely focused on the employee. Pursued challenging jobs and had a great team that surrounded me.

Cons

Struggled getting the right management in place -- but I believe they've found their core and are now moving forward.

Former Employee - Project Engineer

I worked at The PENTA Building Group full-time for more than a year

Pros

Good people............if your in the Vegas office

Cons

No training or development to speak of, employees that the company retains because they're "nice people" but horrible at their job, no long term plan for developing or improving the company, Senior... leadership ignores employee feedback for things that need to change, will ask you to move everywhere with no concern or regard for your personal life, will not spend money to support isolated teams. They do not understand that Los Angeles is not Vegas and that the company needs to adapt their culture and work strategy to a brand new market.

Advice to Management

LISTEN TO EMPLOYEE FEEDBACK OUT OF LA. Vegas is an established office and the opinion of the company is strong there, employees are jumping ship from LA because there is a huge disconnect as to the... state of the company and what needs to change. There are some great people at this company but the culture needs to be re-created to establish clear and consistent values that are communicated and held sacred from the top down.
